Isabel's Story
Hi, my name is Isabel. I am a licensed clinical social worker
with over 15 years of clinical experience. I have undergone
intensive training in play therapy, parenting strategies, and
holistic healing, allowing me to offer a compassionate and
well-rounded approach to care, providing individual, couples,
and group therapy. In the later part of my career, I have taken
on leadership roles as a clinical supervisor, providing guidance
to early childhood social workers at the New York City
Department of Education, mentoring master-level social
work students at Columbia University, and delivering clinical
training to other mental health professionals.

To live a truly fulfilling life, it’s essential to gain clarity about our life goals and purpose. This involves recognizing our personal strengths, passions, and sources of joy. However, life can sometimes disrupt our flow, leaving us feeling lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected from meaning.

I provide a heart-centered, warm, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore the challenges that bring them to therapy. By examining past experiences and relationships, I support clients in uncovering maladaptive patterns that may perpetuate suffering or hinder their ability to live a fulfilling and joyful life. Together, we work to cultivate greater insight, awareness, and healing.

My clinical background includes extensive experience working with children and adults, particularly those navigating significant trauma histories and mood disturbances. A central focus of my work has been serving underserved and marginalized populations, including ethnic and racial minorities. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from NYU Silver School of Social Work and have pursued specialized training in play therapy and holistic healing to deepen my practice.
